Sometimes you see something nice – like a little art number – and think it is worthwhile putting up on the Internet. This is usually done ad nauseam by ad everyone you can think of. However, this is perhaps my second such gambit at such a thing this year. Well within my social media publishing rights.

Always take a moment to smell the roses; occasionally take a moment to photograph those proverbial “roses”; very rarely post that photograph or words depicting them on social media.

This lovely shot was taken up in Langebaan recently and, I think, was more for me than for them. It is not often that I pause to take a photo of something entirely for its own sake, but that day was different. And it is those types of moments, photos, days that linger in your memory, ever etched to remind you that we’re always surrounded by art, if only we realise it.
