Bantry Bay sits at the heart of sought after Atlantic seaboard property. Known for its views, proximity to town, and high value it’s real benefit is in its lack. Unbeknownst to many is the fact that it bears none of the annual summer pelting of the south-east wind. Cape doctor to some, incessantly badgering step-mother to others.

Weather aside, Bantry Bay is a gem of a location for a shoot, for the reasons stated above, but also because it is high value, and therefore generally going to have a nicer interior than average. On this particular shoot we teamed up with Wildeflower who organised bouquets of flowers, pot plants, an orchid, a throw, recipe books, and many other things I have forgotten about! What a joy to have a helper on set with a female eye (even just an extra set of eyes helps, but let’s be honest: women have more of a knack) and pair of hands, too.

It probably won’t be long before we head to good ol’ Bantry Bay again and hope that the impression we made first time round will do us good.
