Hermanus is one of the gems of the South African coastline, and within that town’s coastline lies the best set of homes in the town. Aptly named the golden mile, this stretch of homes has world-class views of Walker Bay, and also benefits from a continual sea breeze that mitigates the soaring summer temperatures. And, finally, within that stretch of “golden mile” homes lies this beauty of a property, which also happens to have the oldest tree known of in Hermanus (it’s a Cypress tree, just so you know).

I managed to photograph the whole home, inside and out, and above is one photograph that I thought was among the best. Lucky people who manage to come to this home, be it the owners or Airbnb holidaymakers, but lucky (too) is the photographer who gets to really appreciate its beauty through his lens.
