Humewood is a place on earth. In Port Elizabeth, in fact. A small, quiet, unassuming neighbourhood in that metropolis, it was here that I whiled away a few days snapping pics, and playing tricks.

Not really, but sort of. It was part of the mammoth road trip that saw me cavort from Port Elizabeth to Cape Town with a special friend, camera in tow. And, that time has come again this week for me to embark again on a journey of epic proportions. Joburg – Botswana – Joburg – Durban – Port Elizabeth – Cape Town. With a bunch of towns and adventures in between, no doubt.

Such adventures come to few, and I count myself privileged to be able to drive a car in such an outstanding country as South Africa. I have been to twenty countries now – all beautiful in their own right – but no place is like home. Our home is truly an epic place to be, and an even better place to work as a photographer.
