Sedgefield is the chief pick among many coastal towns for retirees, and for good reason. Close to the water, away from the city, very quiet, super pretty.

However, I was here for a wedding, and breezed through the town merely to catch a glimpse of it, and be gone. I would love to return but was on my lovely road trip escapade down the country’s coastline, camera in hand. What I did learn though was that it certainly would be worth returning to Sedgefield for a week or more, much like I spent a week in Knysna.

Well, this town’s day will surely come, but for now, all there is of it is this sub-par photo from the wedding venue, Beyond the Moon. Inland and slightly to the left, it’s not quite Sedgefield, but close enough…
