I love England, and the merry old English. They’re not all merry, mind you, but the ones I imagine before I go there and spend time with certainly are. Perhaps because they all see England as I do: a lovely little garden of a country perfect for reading books, tea, and talking nonsense. As for those who see it differently, I don’y really have time for them.

I spent six or so weeks in London, Oxford, Boston, Cambridge and a few other places and I’d love to return here again one day with a friend and tour the whole country on bicycles for another six weeks. There is just so much to see and do and enjoy, and part of me wonders if I should live here for a few years, or stay put in Cape Town – gem of all cities. Thankfully, I think in this life I will be afforded the opportunity to do both, and hopefully I can make it as a writer/photographer/journalist/web designer and work between the two, perhaps even travelling by sea plane – like my grandparents did back in the day – now and again.

Until then, it’s just wishful thinking, but I am glad I managed to coast around the country for a wedding, some fun, and some photos. Here are some…
