Here are a few of the properties we have photographed in and around South Africa. We are based in Cape Town but are prone to wander…
One of Cape Town’s most desirable suburbs must surely be Simon’s Town. Away from the hubbub of the city this old-school town has a charm and personality of its own. This home was in keeping with that, with beautiful artwork, furniture, and plenty of bedrooms.
A breathtaking hotel in the Sabi Sands, this slice of real estate is as good as it gets. Take a look at this collection of some of the best images to get a better idea of the grandeur of this safari lodge. Out of interest, this has been the best project photographed to date.
La Bella is a glorious piece of real estate, hidden away from the busyness of nearby Cape Town and Stellenbosch. Here you can relax in ultimate luxury, pretending the world’s problems don’t exist. We shot on a lovely day in May, with soft light from low clouds.
An exquisite boutique hotel situated in The Crags – just outside of Plettenberg Bay – Tamodi Lodge is a stunning and secret gem with breathtaking views. Shot in pouring rain, the forests seem greener, and the light much softer. Added to that, the staff were so lovely to work with.
Another Waterfront apartment for rental, another likely foreigner who will stay here ad infinitum. This gorgeous flat was a breeze to shoot and no doubt the photos will bring in customers for the whole year. The Waterfront is definitely proving to be an icon of Africa.
Eden’s Touch is a small farm encompassing seven or so log cabins for city dwellers to escape to the “countryside”. When you’re there you wouldn’t believe the N2 is a mere five minutes away!
This wonderful guest lodge in Nelspruit was a fun, quick project on the way into the Sabi Sands and Kruger Park. It was interesting seeing what could be done in under an hour of fading light!
Right on the beachfront in downtown Port Elizabeth, this holidaymakers dream lies, waiting for you to sit on their grass and soak in their unhindered view.
This Green Point flat had perhaps the best (or close to) view I had experienced in Cape Town. Beauty in all directions and such a treat to watch the whole story of the life of the sea. Of course, the home was stunning, as per usual with such lovely apartments.
A small, one-bedroom apartment in the centre of Cape Town, this was another Airbnb hopeful maximising on its proximity to Long Street. This was the pick of the photos, though there were so many shots of the view. That is the glory of Cape Town, really: mountain and sea, sandwiched together.
Another trip to Simon’s Town meant another three hour photo-shoot of this equally stunning home. Airbnb is the motivation, yet again, and I am more than sure that the fortunate owners will rent it out aplenty this coming summer, if not sooner.
Photographs of Camps Bay must draw hordes of foreigners to South Africa. Hopefully, this will be one of many that does, as this home owner requested photographs to entice those willing Europeans to come and summer here.
Pebbles is a fantastic B&B in the idyllic Schoenmakerskop area of Port Elizabeth. Much like Hermanus, this seaside suburb tricks you into thinking you are well away from the city.
Would you believe that in under an hour’s drive north from Port Elizabeth you could be at the gate of a farm in the Karoo? Well, you can and, better than that, you can stay at this mountain lodge.
